How much time do I have to work?

A total of 10 hours before, during or after the festival. Tasks will be assigned at volunteer meetings. Specify when you are available on the application. No guarantee is made that you will be given the time you request but it will offer us a guideline.

What are you expecting us to do?

See the partial lists below. Before the festival tasks involve set up and grounds keeping jobs, construction of stages and fences. Other jobs include grass cutting, sign posting, building a fire pit, and the like. During the festival you could be asked to do anything from watch the gate or carry a cable from one stage to the next to hand out breakfast burritos.

Can we choose a job?

You should tell us what you are good at but we cannot guarantee that you will be doing a job that you desire. We need our volunteers to be flexible.

What if we can't finish our 10 hours?

See the first paragraph. No partial time. If you finish you get in free. If you do not you pay.

Do I have to clean toilets?

No.

Will you feed us?

Meals are included for all volunteers who demostrate thier willingness to contribute before, during or after the festival. Meal tickets will be distributed by the Volunteer Coordinator.

Do we have to camp in a special area?

Volunteers are welcome to set up tents in the VIP area as space allows. This will entitle you to showers and limited access to the house. You are not required to camp in the VIP area however, but if you do not arrive for your assigned shift you may lose your volunteer refund.

Building the Stages, Water Stations and Power Poles.
If you wish to be involved in construction projects we would appreciate any tools you can bring, need big, strong able-bodied people with construction, carpentry, plumbing, electrical or similar experience to help us out with building out Captain Hook and Peter Pan stages, working out the water stations or power poles. Contact us at Volunteers@festivelylocal.com for detailed information.

Preparing Meals
6 meals with 2,000 portions will require many hands! If you have experience with preparing, cooking or serving, come in the day before (during too) the festival and help with kitchen prep. The kitchen tent will be running 24 hours from festival start to finish. See food for the menu.

Tree and branch collection
We will be picking up fallen limbs and collecting wood for the bon fires.

Moving/Hauling
There will always be things that need to be carried from here to there.

Parking Lot Attendants
Direct cars into parking spaces. Check Wrist bands. Direct traffic from the road to the property or parking areas.

Security
Be the eyes and ears of the festival security team. This is a large property; the only way we can assure everyone's safety is to help people stay out of trouble before they get in.

Green Team (Trash/Recycling Pick Up)
Trash is always an issue with large crowds. Help us keep trash and recycling organized and available. There will be no port-a-john cleanup required. You can stay an extra day and help pick up the festival grounds.
